This guidance aims to standardise the safe use of intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) in patients for whom IPC is indicated following venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk assessment. It has been developed by the VTE Specialist Network (VSN) expert working group for healthcare professionals across the UK.
